About Wonderfully
Our Approach
Paediatric Occupational Therapy is in high demand across Brisbane—and for good reason. Families are dedicated to supporting their children's growth and development. However, with long waitlists and increasing demand, many are left asking: What can we do in the meantime? How can we get a head start? Are there strategies I can try at home to make the most of therapy when it begins?
This is where Wonderfully OT steps in.
At Wonderfully OT, we bridge the gap with compassion, clarity, and genuine care. We focus on providing short-term, practical support to help families feel empowered and prepared during the waiting period—giving them the tools they need while they await long-term therapy that often requires more time and commitment.
One of our key offerings is parent-coaching, a flexible and actionable approach for families. Parent-coaching is a powerful tool that places you in the driving seat of your child’s journey, because no one knows your child better than you, and no one is better positioned to guide them than you are. This service is delivered through focused consultations, giving you the opportunity to discuss what matters most to you and your family, and to receive clear, targeted support.
About Me

Maddie Connor
Paediatric Occupational Therapist
Hi, I’m Maddie — the Occupational Therapist behind Wonderfully OT.
I hold a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy with First Class Honours (2018) and have since worked across a variety of settings. I’ve found my professional home in community-based paediatrics, where I’m passionate about supporting children and their families in their everyday lives. I also bring experience working with individuals with neurological conditions and complex disabilities.
Throughout my career, I’ve come to deeply appreciate the importance of professionals who not only understand children and families, but who also offer specialised knowledge and skills. My practice is informed by ongoing professional development and a commitment to evidence-based, compassionate care. I have particular expertise in supporting children with Autism (including non-speaking and Level 3 presentations), children with a PDA (Pathological Demand Avoidance) profile, individuals with ARFID (Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder) and people with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS).
These areas call for a thoughtful, individualised approach—something I strive to bring to every session. My work is grounded in up-to-date knowledge and a flexible, respectful style that honours each child’s unique strengths and needs.
Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of sharing in countless meaningful moments—whether it’s the joy of a child connecting through play, the pride of trying a new food, gaining confidence in daily routines, managing big transitions like finishing high school, or discovering ways to thrive through their own strengths.
Every milestone matters. Every step forward is worth celebrating.
Outside of work, you’ll often find me chasing my toddler around a playground, crocheting something bright and cheerful, or experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen.
